I ordered delivery for a week straight. My coffee table became a restaurant critic.

Long Beach is big, but the food finds you. From Brieats Kitchen’s charcuterie boards to the garlic beef bowl at Charm Siam, the spread is absurdly wide.

Big E Pizza’s wings beat everything, and Little Coyote’s white pie earned my loyalty. No parade of sad salads here.

This list has the good stuff, the messy stuff, and one ceviche I’d skip. Order wisely.

Highlights
Warm, attentive service
Private room for events
Fresh, flavorful dishes
Clean, modern setting
Great date-night spot

Kin Long Beach Kitchen arrived in a plain bag, and I judged it. That was my first mistake. The container opened to fresh, fragrant heat. The dishes tasted cared for. The service on delivery side was warm, even through the notes. A private room exists for events, but I ate alone on my couch. The setting is clean and modern, if you count my coffee table. I’d call it a date-night spot, but my date was a remote control. The meal was steady. Flavorful without drama. I felt oddly proud ordering it. That’s rare for me.

Worth returning for burgers

The Ordinarie Tavern does not pretend. The food is simple. Yet the burger made me pause mid-bite. Homemade sauces do the heavy lifting. I cannot explain the magic, but I respect it. The bartender on the phone was friendly and helpful. That matters when you are ordering delivery and hoping for the best. The atmosphere sounds cool for games, though I only saw my own walls. I will return for the burger. I already know I will. This is the kind of place where the basics win. No fuss. Just satisfaction.

Great craft beer selection
Arcade games and pinball
Excellent garlic knots

The 4th Horseman is a pizza joint with a horror obsession. I ordered the garlic knots first. They arrived excellent. I ate them before the pizza. The pizza itself was sturdy, satisfying, and maybe a little haunted. The craft beer list travels well. The arcade games and pinball are a good reason to visit in person. Movie screenings with pizza sound like a perfect night. I watched a horror film while I ate. The pizza made it better. I felt like I was part of the theme. I was scared. Mainly of how quickly I finished.

Brieats Kitchen handled my delivery like an event. The charcuterie sample boards were adorable, even in a box. They had live hibachi dinner entertainment. Mine was recorded, but the energy came through. The service style was professional and warm. I ordered for a small group. Last-minute catering was accommodated without hesitation. The food was fresh and playful. I did not expect to smile at a delivery. I did. If you have a corporate celebration, this is a safe bet. I felt like I had a personal chef. I do not. That was the delivery.

Delicious, well-received dishes

La Traviata Italian Restaurant sent over a meal that filled me completely. The portions were generous. I ate until I hated myself. The dishes were savory and well-received by my empty stomach. I would recommend it to friends. That is high praise from me. I usually hoard good restaurants. The pasta was cooked right. The sauce had depth. Nothing overcomplicated. I finished and felt satisfied. That feeling lasted. Delivery can be a gamble. This was a sure thing. I already plan to order again. My only complaint is that I have to share the address.

Fun venue, rough edges

Friendly staff, great music
Skip the ceviche
Bring hand sanitizer

Alegria Cocina Latina is fun, but it has rough edges. The loaded nachos were loaded. The chilequiles were good. The ceviche was not. I will skip it next time. The staff was friendly and the music was great. The venue itself seems like a party. Bring hand sanitizer. That is a real tip. The delivery came in a chaotic but forgiving way. I ate the nachos and felt fine. The flaws felt honest. I appreciated that. This is not a perfect spot. But it is a good time. I will order again, minus the ceviche.

Specialty rolls are standout winners

Sushi Mafia delivered a box of specialty rolls that made me forget my own name. I ordered a few. Each one was a standout. The fish tasted fresh. The combinations were bold. I did not share. That was selfish. But good sushi delivery is rare. This was excellent. The rolls arrived intact, which matters. I ate slowly. I wanted to savor it. I failed. I finished fast. The packaging was fine, but the rolls were the star. I am not a sushi expert. I just know what I like. This was that.

The quality was consistently excellent. I have done this more than once. It is worth the wait every time. Order ahead for easy pickup. I did. It made me feel organized. The food arrived hot. The crust had character. The toppings were balanced. I ate too much. That is my fault. I will do it again. That is the plan.

Big E Pizza has uneven service. The pizza is not uneven. The wings are the best in Long Beach. I will say that again. The best. The dining room is massive and spotless. I saw it in a photo. The delivery was fine. The Philly cheesesteak pizza was a standout. The calzone is legendary. The sauce is superb. I ate everything. That was a mistake. I felt heavy. But happy. The service might test you. The food will forgive you. I am already planning my next order. I will skip the appetizers. Maybe.

Crooked Palms became my twice-weekly lunch. The fresh ingredients are affordable. The sandwiches are quality. The service is friendly. I ordered the same thing twice. The second time was just as good. The only warning is to skip the frozen reheated dishes. I tried one. It was a mistake. Stick to the sandwiches. They are quick, easy, and satisfying. The delivery comes fast. That helps on a busy day. I feel like I found a secret. I will not tell everyone. But I just told you.
